Read this before you start — one part of it can't be undone.

The three tiers

• YELLOW — Easy. Iconic, well-known moments.
• BLACK — Fan-level. You've seen it more than once.
• RED — Deep-cut. Background details, license plates, brand names on props.

The two modes

Every tier can be played two ways:

• Timed — 10 seconds per question, one attempt, requires an account. Counts toward your Horror IQ and the leaderboard.
• Casual — No timer, no account needed, play as many times as you want. Never counts toward Horror IQ or the leaderboard — it's just for enjoying the challenge of the quiz.

The permanent lockout rule

Playing Casual mode for a tier permanently locks Timed mode for that exact tier — no undo, ever. This only affects that one tier: playing Yellow Casual doesn't touch Black or Red Timed for the same movie. If you think you might want a shot at the leaderboard for a tier, play Timed first — you can still play Casual afterward with no penalty.
